QUEST : Ale and Accusations
Introduction : Your character is enjoying themselves at a local tavern in the northern territory, when someone storms into the building. Your character may not recognize this person, however the newcomer seems to recognize them as they march right up to your character and point a weapon at them. The person threatens your character and accuses them of something that the character may or may not have actually done. This argument is not something that can be settled with words, so your character and the accuser step outside to and prepare to duel.
EVENT 1 "Settling with Swords"
OPTIONAL CIRCUMSTANCES :
/ Your character is skilled with their weapon and, once the duel starts, they easily counter each attack attempted by their opponent.
Result : Your character has the advantage.
ALTERNATIVE CIRCUMSTANCE :
Your character underestimates how quick and flawlessly their opponent handles his weapon. He easily deflects the abilities of your character and has gained the upper hand.
Result : Your character does not have the advantage.
EVENT 2 "The Battle isn't Over"
If the the result of the previous event was, Your character has the advantage, then your character defeats the opponent, forcing him to his knees while your weapon points to a vulnerable part of his body.
If the the result of the previous event was, Your character does not have the advantage., then your character loses this duel and are forced to their knees while their opponent points a weapon at a vulnerable part of your character's body.
Scenario : The match seems finished by something is wrong. Your opponent doesn't end the fight, instead they signal a message to the crowd. The crowd turns on your character, as apparently everyone in the bar was on your opponents side the whole time. They rush your character dragging them onto the road and beating them mercilessly. Disgraced and in pain, your character watches as the person they dueled spits at them. He says something, then leaves with his gang as if your character deserved such a cruel beating.
OPTIONAL CIRCUMSTANCES :
/ A traveling artist/poet comes across your character on the road and offers his assistance. When your character explains what happened, the traveler mentions that he knows where the person who injured you went.
Result : Your character can find the person who hurt them.
/ Your character's pet is at their side, licking their wounds and trying to comfort them. The pet recognizes who did this to it's master, and can track the attacker if asked to.
Result : Your character can find the person who hurt them.
ALTERNATIVE CIRCUMSTANCE :
Your character is left on the alone on the road. By the time your character is able to walk, the gang who hurt them is gone and you have no way to track them.
Result : Your character cannot find the person who hurt them.
EVENT 3 "Perseverance can be Dangerous"
Scenario : Enough time has passed for your character to heal up. The person who dueled and inevitably ambushed you is still on your mind and you debate if something should be done about them.
FINAL CIRCUMSTANCES :
If the the result of the previous event was, Your character can find the person who hurt them, then your character must choose...
Track down the person who dueled and inevitably ambushed them. By doing this a character can exact their revenge, and the cycle of bloodshed will continue.
END OF QUEST REWARD :

Let this conflict die. the person that harmed you may go unpunished, but he was never worth the trouble anyways.
